I’m proud to bring a new Aquatic Centre and Park to Rees St parking lot!
I’ve made it a priority to bring the long-planned Waterfront West Pool to our community and I’m thrilled to bring a vision to transform the 2.4 acres Rees Street parking lot (at 318 Queens Quay West) into a new park and first-of-its-kind Aquatic Centre with complementary uses for our waterfront.
Building complete communities on our waterfront means public recreation and green spaces that are accessible to all, and I’m committed to bringing the infrastructure our neighbourhood needs.

The new park will be a landmark waterfront park and facility designed through an International Design Competition and create a dynamic destination and public space for residents and visitors alike.
City staff working with Waterfront Toronto are completing due diligence and more updates are planned in early 2027, including public consultation.
The Canadian National Exhibition will run this year from August 21 to September 7! I know it is a part of so many people’s annual summer tradition - mine included. And it means people will be coming from near and far to Exhibition Place, with additional traffic, road closures, and diversions.
Toronto Caribbean Carnival is a staple of summer in our city. I have been pushing City staff to take measures to make sure residents and visitors alike can navigate the area safely and in a reliable way.
