My office has been working with the leadership at Stackt Market, City staff from various departments, and local residents to address noise and programming concerns. My priority remains that Stackt can be a good neighbour to local residents.
- We require any noise exemption applications to direct Stackt to inform local neighbours with sufficient notice
- City noise monitors must be onsite to ensure noise by-law compliance
Our team worked with residents to lead the advocacy in Fall 2023 for much-needed updates to the City's noise by-laws.
Since the beginning of the year, I've requested Stackt to engage with local residents to:
- Proactively share upcoming programming and timelines
- Improve communication and visibility with residents for ongoing feedback and issue resolution
- Establish a pilot Resident Advisory Council
