Are you interested in volunteering with Deputy Mayor Ausma Malik and our Ward 10 office? Whether you’re interested in helping out at community events or connecting with our neighbours, there’s a place for you on our volunteer team!
Through this program you will have the opportunity to learn more about the many interesting communities that make up our city, and about the work our constituency office does to reach and engage with community members. Volunteering with us will bring so many benefits. You will improve your social and communication skills, build knowledge of different issues facing our downtown communities, gain more insight into municipal government, and give back to the community while doing so!
Something that makes our ward stand out is the fact that we hold most of Toronto's downtown core. With more than 135,000 people calling Ward 10 home, we are the second most populous ward in the city! Plus because we hold so much of the downtown, hundreds of thousands of people commute here for work every day and major events like Blue Jays games, concerts, and the upcoming FIFA 2026 games draw in hundreds of thousands more. There is so much happening in our ward, so you get to try a bit of everything when you volunteer with us! It's a new activity or neighbourhood every time!

- Pre-Halloween Party at the East Bayfront Community Recreation Centre
- Canvassing in Ossington West about improvements coming to Trinity Bellwoods Park
- Our movie nights in Bathurst Quay and CityPlace
- Coffee Parties in Liberty Village for the neighbourhood planning study, Liberty for All
- Canvassing in St. Lawrence to connect with people about an upcoming townhall
- Leafleting in Alexandra Park
- Mid-Autumn Festival Lunch with seniors in The Grange
